Julia-- Julia cries with he sister over Campbell for leaving her again with no explanation as to why. When she gets to the court house she isn't in the best mood and upon hearing Anna and Campbell arguing about Anna taking the stand she snaps at them and their ability for commitment. Campbell also tries to tell Julia about his dog, but court gets called back into session.
Campbell-- With a psychiatrist on the stand the question at hand is, if Kate dies what will that do to Anna? Also if Kate gets Anna's kidney and lives then Anna will be much better off. The psychiatrist also believes that Anna is unable to make medical decisions my herself. Campbell then comes to counter that saying that Sara will benefit from Kate staying alive and if Kate dies then Sara will be just as devastated as Anna will be so she isn't really equipped to make decisions either.
Julia-- She is on the stand. Julia believes that donating a kidney is not the best medical decision of Anna and that her medical needs and best interest are met. Even though the Fitzgerald family is not suitable to control Anna's decisions, neither is Anna.
Campbell-- With Julia not being able to reach a decision as to who should decide for what is medically best for Anna. The Anna does something unexpected, she stood up and said that she had something to say.
Anna-- Anna has fear of public speaking and she is not about to get on the stand and testify. Her first answer for the reason for filing a petition was because her mother asked for a kidney. While discussing the option for the first time with Kate and Anna, Kate established that she didn't want the kidney, but Sara believed that to be suicide. Its not suicide if you already dying.
Brian-- Campbell collapses and has a seizure so Brian rushes to his side. Even though Julia is very cross with Campbell she is the first to make sure that he will be fine. After regaining consciousness Campbell realizes he needs to change into new cloths having soiled his slacks. Now Campbell finally explains the point of his service dog and how his seizures started when he got in a car crash at the age of eighteen.
Campbell-- Once alone with Julia Campbell explains that he got in a car accident right before graduation and then started having seizures. He deemed himself not good enough for Julia so that's why he broke up with her. Judge, the dog, tells him when is going to have a seizure. Julia says that you don't love someone because they' re perfect but in spite of their imperfections.
Anna-- Anna is testifying, but she is more focused on Campbell's dog who is every nervous and keeps whining and pulling on Campbell as he talks. As the questions start coming the one everyone wants to know the answer two it why? A couple months before Anna had found Kate sitting in the bedroom holding a bottle of pills. Anna told her that she couldn't kill herself after all everyone have put i to keep her alive, so Kate asked Anna to kill her and the law suit was Anna's way of fulfilling Kate's with.
Sara-- Judge DeSalvo decides to go talk to Kate. When they arrive Kate and Jesse are watching TV together, but Jesse gets kicked out so that DeSalvo and Kate can talk alone. Kate knew that at one point they would come to see her for the case. After talking with Kate the judge says he will decide the next morning. Everyone stays with Kate for a while until the last one left is Sara who apologizes for not listening to Kate before.
