Monday-Week 2

Campbell-- Unsure of the reason he still loves Julia he leaves her asleep on the boat the next morning and goes to the court house. With court about to start no one can fine Anna, so Campbell goes to look for her and finds her in Kate's hospital room. Campbell seeing how much Anna cares for Kate wants to know the true reason behind the law suit, but Anna doesn't tell. Especially since Campbell never tells the truth about his dog why should she tell him. As a first witness he calls Sara Fitzgerald to the stand and asks her about the purpose of Anna being born and how many procedures she went through, without being asked if she was okay with them.

Anna-- Dr. Bergen is called to the stand next after the recess. The Doctor is asked the risks of kidney donation in which he replies with the risks for Kate, not Anna. According to him Anna wasn't a patient yet she had undergone several invasive surgeries. Dr. Bergen also voted against Kate having a kidney transplant as he doesn't believe she will survive it. Sara then asks if he had children in this position would he take the risk?

Sara-- Kate meets Taylor Ambrose. While in the hospital Kate met Taylor, they immediately  hit it off and they were both cancer patients. As Taylor goes to leave he asks for Kate's number, right after getting the number he called her to make sure it wasn't fake. After that they never stopped talking. Taylor was just the medicine Kate needed, as cancer wore her down Taylor built her up. During Kate's relapse and chemo, Taylor would be there holding her hair back as she threw up, well while she still had hair. They went on several dates together including the hospitals version of prom. Searching for the perfect dress was very difficult considering Kate had to cover up her catheter that sprouts from the center of her chest. The night of the dance they slept together then Kate never heard from Taylor again. Sara asked one of the nurses what happened to him and he had passed away about a week before, a couple days after the dance. Kate was crushed.

Jesse-- At the age of fourteen Jesse was sent off to boot camp. At the camp there was a herd of sheep and the boys had to take turns watching the sheep. During Jesse's watch on of the sheep gave birth and he had to keep the lamb alive. Jesse always knew what lamb was his because it had the look as if it had seen the other side. He was comparing that look to the one Kate had and he wanted to know if she was scared to die and she said she would let him know. Kate also said that she will miss him very much.

Brian-- In the time Brian went to search for Anna the morning of the hearing, he happened to go in Jesse's room. In his room are all the materials to start fires. When called out of court for a fire Brian finds a cigarette but at the scene, the same brand his son smokes. When he questions Jesse about the fires Jesse denies it, but then he can't hold it together any more and says that he couldn't save her. Brian doesn't tell anyone.

Campbell-- On the stand is Kate's main Doctor, Dr. Chance. Campbell asks him if there are any side affects to the procedures Anna has undergone. For the most part all her procedures have not caused long term damage and Anna gets the satisfaction of help save her sister. However removing a kidney will cause many long term affects. Anna will never be able to play contact sports it would be too risky. When the court goes to recess Campbell is met with a very angry Julia who wants to know what the night on the boat meant to him to which he has no answer he wants to share. Court gets let out and Campbell drives Anna home.
